I resent that ! It assumes that he even existed
It's kind of a historical fact that he existed, even the history channel and discovery channel do the occasional special on him. It's just the whole son of God thing that is up to debate.
He may existed as a person, but for all we know he was just a nut. there are no facts, over the old writings.
there no better then todays conspiracy theorist.

Remains of a man believed to be Jesus....
...the same man presumed to have been lifted into heaven and there is a corpse used to prove he existed?
My my the creationists are organised keeping an eye on what each other says...
The Scientifically ignorant are a illness on humanity.. remember that well.

A Jesus of Nazareth did exist, it's just whether or not he was God in human form that is disputed

Originally by: Stitcher Actually, the existence of Jesus of Nazareth is pretty much a historical certainty. Nobody's yet found the Roman census records for his birth or anything quite that conclusive, but his existence is not something that's argued at all among credible academics. He existed, and had a profound political and religious impact on the world.
What's debatable is this talk of him being the son of God, and the miracles and all that.
Personally, I view Christmas as a midwinter excuse to eat well, show my family how much I love and appreciate them (and receive the same in turn) and unwind for a little while. I certainly don't mind the commercialization or the pop culture that springs up in December. On the contrary, last weekend I played Tuba in an orchestral christmas concert in a church, and the next day spent three hours in my local town center playing christmas carols.
I don't understand how people can possibly hate it. It's like a big worldwide party - you have to be pretty damned misantrhopic to feel contempt about that, IMO.
Do you believe in god?

I just question someone when they can believe in something they cannot examine or even sense with all there evolved senses.
Its like believing 9/11 was in inside job. its requires faith.

Nope, I have personally met a historian, who is by the way a complete atheist, who has informed me that there was indeed a man named Jesus from Nazareth that existed. Sorry I can't give you anything other than that
Yes i know that, i will not deny that but what he did.. divine intervention etc.
its like saying there is a Pentagon (that is a fact) but then saying they then did 9/11 etc see what i am getting at?

Do you have an issue with atheists?
only the obnoxious ones, and I'm agnostic myself. there's nothing more soul-erasingly monotonous than being subjected to some 6th form theology student failure-in-waiting droning on and on with their tired, self congratulary 'aren't theists dumb, me and my mates are the only ones who get it' pep talk
To be fair is the bible told them that god was a kettle orbiting the moon, they would believe it, it requires faith. and they would be the only ones that got it.
its same as a conspiracy theory, only they get it.
Edit: btw congratulary is spelled congratulatory
